Friday September 16

Junior Colts

In their first game of the year on Friday night, the Colts football team beat down St. Johns by a score of 56-6. BCI were on top from the very beginning of the game and were able to gather a 21-0 lead after running only one offensive play. The Colts were lead by Tristan Almas who scored an amazing 4 touchdowns in the first half. Also scoring rushing touchdowns for the Colts were Josh Thompson and quarterback Austin Jones. Jones connected on two long touchdown passes to Dean Henderson throughout the game. Defensive standouts for the Colts were Jamaal Jones-Peters, Ethan Ferguson and Cullen Fawcett. The colts continue their season on Thursday night at 6, play North Park Collegiate at Gretzky. Thanks for the support BCI and hope to see you there!

Senior Mustangs

The senior mustangs played their first season football game and lost 26 - 0 versus St. Johns Friday evening. the team played hard but made too many mistakes to come up with the victory. The offense was lead by Brad Winch and Zack Morrison. Eric Lickers, Carter Mitchell and Mitch McIsaac Played well defensively. Next action is the spirit Bowl versus NPC on Thursday night, come out and cheer us on to victory. Jr game at 6, senior game at 8.

Thursday September 22 - Spirit Bowl

Junior Colts

Last night the Jr Colts football team had a great game and beat a tough North Park squad 35-0. The Colts were again lead on offense by Tristan Almas, who scored two first quarter touchdowns. Also scoring on the ground for BCI were QB Austin Jone, Josh Thompson and Jamaal Jones-Peters. Defensively, the Colts recored their first shutout of the year and were lead all night by Ethan Ferguson. North Park could get nothing going in the air all night, as Dylan Wright recorded an intereception and Dylan Hines recorded 2 timely interceptions. The Colts are now 2-0 and face PJ next Saturday morning.

Senior Mustangs

The senior mustangs football team lost in a very spirited game last evening 8 to 7. The touchdown was scored by Brad Winch. Kyle Dawson kicked the extra point. Liam Hazell and Andrew Wilhelm made some nice catches during the game. The defense was outstanding. They caused many turnovers constantly turning back the North Park offense. Quintan Martin, Ethan Mc Clure, Colton Dennis, Eric Yelle and Justin Robinson were outstanding in the game. Next Action Saturday Oct 1st at Pauline Johnson Collegiate.

Saturday October 1, 2011 - Heritage Bowl

Junior Colts

On Saturday morning, the Colts football team remained undefeated, beating PJC 51-0. The Colts once again took an early lead, as Tristan Almas took the opening kick-off for a touchdown. Almas scored 4 touchdowns on the day. Jamaal Jones-Peters also had a terrific game, returning two punts for touchdowns, recording an interception and knocking down many PJ passes. Also scoring for BCI was Anthony Punteiero with his first touchdown and Jierre Dillon scored a 20 yard field goal and kicked several extra points. Defensively, the Colts recorded their second shut out of the year being lead by Kahdar Reid, Anthony Suderman and Conner Flinders. BCI plays Paris this Friday evening at 6pm.

Senior Mustangs

The BCI mustangs played in the Heritage football game versus PJC on Saturday. The mustangs lost another close game by the score of 20 to 12. Brodie Parker had his best game of the season throwing a touchdown pass to Andrew Wilhelm. Corbin Wilcock and Zack Morrison and Liam Hazell made some key catches. The running game was led by Brad Winch and Justin Etch-a-sketch Dennis. The defense was led by Ethan McClure, Quinn Martin, Justin Robinson and Eric Lickers. Kyle Dawson kicked a field goal and converted a touchdown.

Junior Colts - VS Paris

On Friday night, the Colts football team remained undefeated, beating Paris by a score of 70-0. The Colts had their way with Paris throughout the game, lead by QB Austen Jones who had his best throwing game of the year. Jones connected on 5 touchdown passes throughout the game, 2 to Alex Chan 2 to Dean Henderson and 1 to Josh Thompson. Jones was able to complete a high percentage of his passes and spread the ball out to all receivers. Tristan Almas added two rushing touchdowns and Tyrell Simmons added his first BCI touchdown. Jamaal Jones-Peters was stellar once again on defense and recorded his first pick 6 of the year. BCI was also lead by Kahdar Reid, Conner Flinders and Ethan Ferguson on defense. The Colts will face their toughest game of the year next Saturday against Assumption in a battle of the unbeaten teams.

Senior Mustangs - Tournament

The Mustangs senior football team scored a 51-7 victory on Friday versus Centennial Collegiate of Guelph. Rushing touchdowns were scored by Etch-a-sketch Dennis, Andrew Wilhelm and Brad Winch. Brodie Parker threw for 2 touchdowns one to Brandon Moxley and the other to Corbin Wilcox. Colton Dennis and Ethan McClure each returned a punt for a touchdown. Zack Morrison kicked 7 converts and a rouge. The Defense only allowed 2 first downs as they dominated the Guelph team. Chris Gorski, Mathieu Pare, and Mitch Yemm played well defensively. Next action Friday night at 8pm at Gretzky.

Junior Colts - VS Assumption

On Saturday afternoon, the Jr football team lost their first game of the year in a tight game with Assumption by a score of 34-24. The game was back and forth for much of the game, but turnovers and pass coverage ended up hurting BCI. Tristan Almas was once again outstanding, scoring two touchdowns and had several long runs. Josh Thompson had one of his best games of the year as well and finished with 1 touchdown. Austin Jones played a tough game and scored one rushing touchdown. Dean Henderson played on both sides of the ball and had many clutch catches and big stops on defense. Ethan Ferguson was once again the anchor on defense and had an outstanding day. BCI plays PJ in their last regular season game Friday night at 8pm..

Senior Mustangs - VS NPC

The mustangs football team won their quarter final game last evening beating NPC 21 to 13. Brodie Parker threw for two touchdown passes. Both were long 30 plus passes to Andrew Wilhelm. Brodie also threw a long pass to Jeremy Gooden that set up a field goal by Kyle Dawson. The run game was anchored by Justin Dennis. He scored the other touchdown for the Mustangs. The defense played extremely well constantly turning back the determined Trojans. Logan MacRitchie lead the specials play recovering a fumble on a kickoff. Eric Lickers, Dylan Henderson, Eric Yelle, Mitch Yemm, Mitch Mcisaac and Casey Bouk played well. Next game is next Friday versus ACS. Come out and support the team in the semi-finals.

Junior Colts - VS PJC

On Friday night, the Jr. Colts football team won their last regular season game over PJ 38-0. Austin Jones was once again fantastic, throwing for three touchdowns and running for two. Touchdown passes were caught by Dean Henderson, Sam Tinevez and Liam Bielawski. Jierre Dillon connectied on four extra points, kicked a single, as well as a 24 yard field goal. Defensively, the Colts were lead by Anthony Suderman and Conner Flinders. Dean Henderson and Dillon Wright recorded interceptions. The Colts finish their season 5-1 and will play St. John's on Thursday night at 8PM in the Brant County Semi-Finals!

Junior Colts - VS SJC

The Colts are moving onto the finals!! Thursday night, your Colts football team beat St. John's by a score of 35-0. The game started out tough but the Colts powered through, kept fighting and outplayed St. John's the whole night. Austin Jones lead the offense and threw two touchdown passes to Dean Henderson. One of those was a game turning point, firing a bullet for a 65 yard touchdown, scoring with no time left in the first half. Tristan Almas, Jamaal Jones-Peters and Josh Thompson all added rushing touchdowns. Defensively, Ethan Ferguson, Anthony Suderman and Conner Flinders were fantastic as linebackers and Alex Chan recorded an interception. The Colts have now made the finals next Saturday against their rival Assumption.

Senior Mustangs - VS Assumption

Friday evening the senior mustangs football team were eliminated from the playoffs by a very close 12 to 7 score. The game was in doubt right up to the final whistle. The mustangs are to be congratulated on their outstanding effort. Justin Dennis was outstanding offensively as was Andrew Wilhelm and Brodie Parker. Brodie scored the touchdown on a 1 yard run and Kyle Dawson kicked the convert. Outstanding special team play was performed by Kyle Dawson and Mitch McIsaac. Mitch Yemm, Eric Yelle, Eric Lickers, Dylan Henderson, Ethan McClure, Austin Harris, Pearce Flynn, Mathieu Pare and Colton Dennis played great defensive games. Great season boys.
