Girls
The BCI girls curling team played a very challenging game last night in the finals against North Park.
The entire team played incredibly well and were able to secure second place in the BCSSAA finals and attain silver medals.
Amazing accomplishment!
In the first end of the game BCI was able to secure 2 points. Amazing shots were made by
Fiona Flynn and
Breanna Webber.
In the last couple throws of the end Breanna was able to use North Park’s rocks as a backing to secure a duce in the first end. Despite some great
shots and Fiona drawing to the button in the second end North Park was able to secure 3 points in the second end.
In the third end amazing throws
by Sylvia Caron and
Breanna Webber paired with the dedicated sweeping of
Fiona Flynn and
Jess Barnard secured another point for the BCI girls.
Bringing the score to a 3-3 by the third end. Despite many great throws, strategies, and efforts in sweeping by the BCI girls, North Park was
able to secure points in the fourth, fifth and sixth ends. Making the final score of the game 8-3.
All 4 of you should be INCREDIBLY proud of what you accomplished this season!!! You have made such vast improvements in a
small period of time and really came together as a team. Your hard work and dedication paid off!! I couldn’t be more proud of your efforts.
Congratulations
Breanna Webber, Fiona Flynn, Sylvia Caron and
Jessica Barnard on placing second in the BCSSAA finals and securing your silver medals, they are well earned and deserved
